Yet another day in the crazy house with all the monkeys in class, hehee. Joel decided that a movie was in order and so all 13 of us happily trooped onto the bus to Cineleisure. But while the company was great, the movie sadly was so not. Dude, I wan my refund leh!

Forbidden Siren has a pretty tangible plot: the usual ominous-looking island fested with urban legends, and throw in a pasty doe-eyed Japanese actress and we're raring to go.
I actually liked the idea of the mermaid coming back from the dead for vengeance (She is so not Ariel.hmm) but nearing the end of the show, you realised that actually is not the case. And with open-ended leads and a half-hearted explanation (read brief montage of shots) you come to understand that this whole show is more than what you THINK it promises.

It veers off a good plot and ends up confused, thus the film simply fell flat. The horror makeup was definitely not comparable to those of western films thts for sure. They (zombie/ghost?) simply looked like geishas who were left out in the sun too long and suffering from a bad case of optical inflammation. But ah well

I did NOT even scream once, and tht sucked. But at least I had tons of kick scaring the Bejesus outta the girls in the front. Lol!
