Listening to: Initial D OST
To all who have faithfully tuned in, or to the poor clueless chaps who unwitting stumbed upon this rant page of mine....
I AM BACK! DA QUEEN IS IN THE HOUSE!Yes, after the tragic demise of my former sole extension (read:lousy computer) that left me crippled of my blog for the last 2 months, not a day passed with out ritualistic cursing of all things technical (or products manufactured by Bill Gates) and endless moaning of not being able to share all that I wanted to share. Each day my heart was hurting as I cast woebegone looks at others' laptops and flat-screen computers. Such is cruel fate.But...guess who is having the last laugh NOW? Today is definitely a day to remember: my darling dad has bought me a laptop! Or at least, for me to use until he can find time and space to install it in the living room. But, being the optimist that I am, I'm more than happy with this present arrangement. The past 2 weeks have been a total bitch, to say the least. I know myself well, and I'm not one who likes to prettify/romantise things. 3 project deadlines compressed in a mere 7 days, and the infuriating feeling of being in the middle of class politics. I love everyone in our class, tho I can't say the same for the other way round. As much as I wish things would return the way the were during the PC period, its impossible. Is being in a clique that important? I wonder why I've been given strange looks the last few days, and it would really be nice if someone can tell me why.
Furthermore, if anyone has anything against me, I say: jolly well have the balls to say it in my face before you start spreading it around behind my back. You know who you are.
Faux philosphies of life aside, I turn my attention to my seemingly irrepressable shopping addict. Yet I have no one to blame but myself as I succumb again and again to the alluring call of sales and discounts. Bugger to the max. I've heard of rehabilitation for alchoholics and drug addicts, I wonder if they have one for retail-zombies. Cos I'm in serious need of one.
Some stuff the past few weeks, I:
-Ended my work selling lanterns during a Mid-Autumn promotion. It was such an event that I've decided it needs one whole entry by itself in order to commemorate. Of prima-donna Ah-lians, bitchy Ah-Sos and cute Caucasians. Stay tuned....
-Have been photographed in the most unglamorous position during a all-female stint at Century Square on the 11th Sept. Wondered what surprised me more: that I would make headlines that sorta way or that most of my classmates read the papers. No offence really!
-The projects were pretty smooth-sailing, big thanks to Aishu, Ken and ESPECIALLY Menaka. Really am very happy to have made a life-long friend who I can really trust and care about without being mistaken for a lesbian. coughJunocough? LOL.
-FINALLY finished watching Korean drama, Stairway to Heaven. A tear-jerker from start till end, tho the plot was the most cliched (Loss of memory? That idea is so used to dead. Wake up,script-writers! What are you being paid for??), and there were zilch cute guys, but the acting was spectacular beyond expectations. Go catch it if you haven't.
-Had a great time clubbing with my four boos, you guys Knoooow who you are,eh? We sure did have a blast chilling and burning up the dance floor, methinks. Desire was great, tho the drinks were bloody diluted. And glad it wasn't too much of an SPG watering-hole...
-Got most of the stuff I've wanted, and learnt how to apply blush for the first time. Had my very first Time-Out chocolate bar last week. :)
I don't wanna end with an emo note, but just wanna thank everyone who hasn't given up on this blog, and hopefully, the owner too. Remember that my love for all my fren knows no boundaries, and you can always come to me when u need a hand or a shoulder to cry on. Or an extra pair of arms for a shopping spree.
Thats a promise, for always.
